I have the recording window disabled to reduce risk of accidentally screen-sharing it during meetings 😅. Due to this, I rely on the menubar icon to understand the current state of the application (recording/processing/idle). I have three additional displays connected via DisplayLink and I've found that often the icon does not update, or is showing a different state across multiple displays.

At times, I see a false state of "recording" on one of my monitor (leading me to believe I forgot to turn recording off) only to find that the actual state was idle and by trying to turn recording off, I actually just turned it on. This causes extraneous files being created and a disruption/distraction to deduce the current state.
