Enable Mouse Shortcuts for Dictation
Zach Saka
As a user focused on productivity and reducing keyboard reliance, I would find it incredibly useful if SuperWhisper supported mouse shortcuts, such as the middle mouse button, to activate dictation. This feature would align perfectly with the app's purpose, enhancing the workflow by allowing dictation to start directly from the mouse without needing a keyboard shortcut. For users who prefer a mouse-driven experience, this would be a significant improvement and contribute greatly to overall productivity.

Most quality mice already allow customizing shortcuts with their own software. If you're really looking to reduce your reliance on the keyboard, I agree that the ability to use mouse shortcuts for dictation would be a useful addition.
However, I am more in favor of innovative and unique features that do not currently have equivalents. It would be preferable for developers to focus on aspects that are not yet covered by other existing alternatives to truly add value and significantly improve the user experience.

Nicolas COMPAIN Thank you for the suggestion. I am actually using a Logitech MX Master 3S, and I attempted to set up custom mouse shortcuts as you described. However, it appears that SuperWhisper does not capture the keyboard events generated from the Logitech Options software, so unfortunately, this workaround does not work for me. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience or found an effective workaround for using SuperWhisper with mouse shortcuts, especially for users of the Logitech MX Master series or other programmable mice. If you’ve managed to get mouse-driven shortcuts working for dictation or found a method that integrates smoothly with SuperWhisper, please do share your insights.

It turns out I have the same mouse :)
I notice there is an issue with the Logitech MX Master drivers. You can easily notice it if you try to copy-paste in a field, like a password, using the mouse.
But as for SuperWhisper, it is possible to work around the Logitech bugs.
I've configured my Logitech mouse to use the ⌘Cmd + Y keyboard shortcut for quick actions. This shortcut activates recording in Super Whisper and serves as my primary custom action.
