Transcribe external audio files from eg. Voice Notes or other sources

It would be extremely useful if I could use superwhisper to transcribe sources of data other than immediate recordings such as my voice notes from my phone, or other recordings I have around. I'm not exactly sure about the user interface here, but it would be useful if I could just drag in a bunch of files, whether into the UI or even into a subdirectory inside the recordings folder, which would be auto-detected and transcribed and given the same kind of text file as a companion output.

Would be super helpful to not just transcribe audio... local video files would be a nice feature as well

This is my top request. I want voice notes from my apple watch/phone to be transcribed. Can just be by drag & dropping onto superwhisper.

This would be especially useful if combined with Apple Shortcuts integration! - to let you programmatically run files through superwhisper and channel the output into one's favorite note-taking systems. I collect maybe half a dozen fairly long recordings needing transcription throughout the day (while out walking), and would definitely upgrade for auomatic way of transcribing them.
Brilliant app, by the way.

I would love a way to call SuperWhisper to transcribe audio files via a watch folder, Shortcuts or Hazel. I already use Hazel for various other automation tasks on my Mac and have been experimenting with Whisper through terminal to pull this off... It would be so much easier to leverage SuperWhisper for this since it is already on my computer and has the potential of having the local LLM clean up the text after transcription to add paragraph breaks to the text file output or even set a ideal length limit of subtitles for srt output. I recently came across some French youtube videos that don't have subs and would like to generate the French ones for a batch of files as well as generate an English translation so I can watch them as part of language study. I don't know how difficult it would be to implement all of that, but this is definitely something I would love to see. I second the person who said add to video files for transcription. That would be very useful not to need to demux audio first. I really love what SuperWhisper offers and it just keeps getting better and better! Keep up the good work.

This one would be great!

Hey Yuri, yeah, I think that's a great idea. And not that difficult to implement either. Expect it on a release in November.
